Gore: U.S. Climate Bill Will Help Bring About 'Global Governance'

Climate Depot Exclusive

Friday, July 10, 2009By Marc MoranoClimate Depot

Former Vice President Al Gore declared that the Congressional climate bill will help bring about “global governance.”

“I bring you good news from the U.S., “Gore said on July 7, 2009 in Oxford at the Smith School World Forum on Enterprise and the Environment, sponsored by UK Times.

“Just two weeks ago, the House of Representatives passed the Waxman-Markey climate bill,” Gore said, noting it was “very much a step in the right direction.” President Obama has pushed for the passage of the bill in the Senate and attended a G8 summit this week where he agreed to attempt to keep the Earth's temperatures from rising more than 2 degrees C.

Gore touted the Congressional climate bill, claiming it “will dramatically increase the prospects for success” in combating what he sees as the “crisis” of man-made global warming.

“But it is the awareness itself that will drive the change and one of the ways it will drive the change is through global governance and global agreements.” (Editor's Note: Gore makes the “global governance” comment at the 1min. 10 sec. mark in this UK Times video.)

Gore's call for “global governance” echoes former French President Jacques Chirac's call in 2000.

On November 20, 2000, then French President Chirac said during a speech at The Hague that the UN's Kyoto Protocol represented "the first component of an authentic global governance."

The End is Here ..... Dead Yet!

OK, let me get this right, I can only do it once.
Tried it a few months back, just could not make the final cut. Click here for that ....

No more raison d'etre, I might was well git er done ...

OK, here goes . . .

This blog's dying wish .... I hope and pray that Obama loses and all Dems come to the post previous to this one (here), reads the end of that post and bitterly realizes that it was JellObama's audacity that cost them the White House once again ...

cough, sputter ....

And finally, as my last word to all of my readers, one of the most important posts on this blog, click here .....

cough, sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, goodbye, whooosshhhhhhhhhhhh.

All in, all on GREEN!!!

OK folks, I am going for broke here at BJBrownsblog tonight. This is the last dying gasp of My Gore Hypothesis -- I promise, Keith.

Recall that Obama is a disciple of Saul Alinsky.
For analysis on that search this blog for Alinsky. Be sure to hit this link if you want the backstory on Alinsky.

And this post of mine from last April.

The teaching of Saul Alinsky of most import in this hour is his teaching on how to manipulate the masses into social change. Allow me to quote from another blogger on that:

Barack Obama had just graduated from Columbia and was looking for a job. Some white leftists were looking for someone who could recruit in a black neighborhood in the south side of Chicago.
Obama answered a help-wanted ad for a position as a community organizer for the Developing Communities Project (DCP) of the Calumet Community Religious Conference (CCRC) in Chicago. Obama was 24 years old, unmarried, very accustomed to a vagabond existence, and according to his memoir, searching for a genuine African-American community.
Both the CCRC and the DCP were built on the Alinsky model of community agitation, wherein paid organizers learned how to "rub raw the sores of discontent," in Alinsky's words.
One of Obama's early mentors in the Alinsky method was Mike Kruglik, who had this to say to an Ryan Lizza of The New Republic, about Obama:
"He was a natural, the undisputed master of agitation, who could engage a room full of recruiting targets in a rapid-fire Socratic dialogue, nudging them to admit that they were not living up to their own standards. As with the panhandler, he could be aggressive and confrontational. With probing, sometimes personal questions, he would pinpoint the source of pain in their lives, tearing down their egos just enough before dangling a carrot of hope that they could make things better."
The agitator's job, according to Alinsky, is first to bring folks to the "realization" that they are indeed miserable, that their misery is the fault of unresponsive governments or greedy corporations, then help them to bond together to demand what they deserve, and to make such an almighty stink that the dastardly governments and corporations will see imminent "self-interest" in granting whatever it is that will cause the harassment to cease.
In these methods, euphemistically labeled "community organizing," Obama had a four-year education, which he often says was the best education he ever got anywhere.
****
End of quote

Now for the application:
GOP Thesis: McCain, White, rich, Establishment, values voters, free trade, open markets, strong economy, Iraq war good, Afghanistan war winnable, America basically good, private wealth good, Sarah Palin wonder woman, pro-life,. pro-traditional marriage, pro-traditional values, Obama a Marxist

DEMOCRAT Antithesis: Obama, Black, poor, Change, ACORN, fair trade, closed markets, weak economy, Iraq war bad, Afghanistan war lost, America basically evil, redistribute the wealth, Sarah Palin a disgrace, pro-abortion, pro- gay marriage, pro-progressive values, Obama a Saviour

Are we rubbed raw yet??????? Why yes we are!!! Very raw, as raw as we have ever been in a generation.
And so we are ready, more than ready, for
synthesis.

Here is how I hypotheses that it will arrive tonight at 8 pm EST ....

Obama notes how sad he is about this divided nation, how he wanted to bring us together not drive us apart. Alas he has become a divisive figure due to the politics as usual and GOP attack machine and our blighted history. Not the first time a career has been ruined by this dysfunction system. Denied us our best and brightest in 2004 and 2000.

Then Obama turns to the camera and states that it is not often one has the opportunity to revisit the past and right a wrong. That opportunity is now upon us . . . to right a great wrong done to a great man in 2000.

And with that Obama asks the nation to join him and Joe Biden in finding purpose and unity under the wings of Al Gore, the Nobel prize winner, the statesman, the man of principle and the friend of the global economy.

A man with EXPERIENCE in spades. And a proven track record. And let us not talk about global warming, er, lets talk about global climate change instead. (As in colder!)

And Obama's community organizing on a national stage is a home run! On Thursday the US market soars, Europe applauds, NGO's praise Obama's choice, the media fawns and dogs sto
p chasing cars. (Well maybe not the latter.)

Gore immediately asks Colin Powell to stand with him. Powell agrees, stating that the wars would be conducted under all new management starting the day of the Inauguration.

The GOP is stunned. Even Rush stutters. Some defect and state that it is best to all rally around Gore at this time to heal the nation. Some who have been primed and planted for just such defections. The GOP strategy is shattered, since it no longer has Obama to focus its message upon.

And Gore wins almost 70% of the popular vote while running the table on the electoral college. His coattails prove long as Reagan's, and he ends up owning all of Congress with veto proof majorities.

He is then the King of America and the GOP is a smoking ruin.

OR NOT!!!!

Hey, if this is not right and the Dems gamble with JellObama and lose then they can always come here to cry in their beer about what could have been!!!

Sarah Palin uses the N word!

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (CNN) — Campaigning Saturday in Iowa, a state where polls show Barack Obama enjoying a healthy lead just 10 days before the election, Sarah Palin warned that putting Obama in the White House along with Democrats running both chambers of Congress will turn the country into a nanny state.

Palin cautioned Iowans that under Obama’s “big government agenda,” their income, property and investments would be “shared with everybody else.” She labeled Obama’s plan to provide tax credits to lower and middle-income wage-earners “the philosophy of government taking more, which is a misuse of the power to tax.”

Careful, Sarah. The Kansas media (mostly a collection of small minded Christophobes who love big government) tied me to the proverbial whippin' post for using that very same term.

Details on that here:
defense-of-my-repeated-use-of-ns-word

Kansas' Nanny State

Can you find the nanny state in these examples?

Jack booted Nannies

Does anyone care about the rise of the nanny state?

BJBrown struck a blow against the Nanny State in Kansas

Sarah!!! You go, girl. The Nanny State is a threat to freedom. Obama was rais
ed up by the Nanny State and will cause it to explode (in unprecedented growth) if he gets hold of the reigns and a supermajority in the Senate.

If that happens then Katy bar the door! (But it will be too late to bar the door.)

Zogby does not consider this race run

McCain gains as race continues to tighten

UTICA, New York – Republican John McCain continues to gain on Democrat Barack Obama, reducing Obama’s lead to 5.3 points with just over a week to go before Election Day, the latest Reuters/C–SPAN/Zogby national daily tracking poll shows.

The race now stands at 49.4% to 44.1% in favor of Obama. Obama led McCain by 9.5 points in yesterday’s report.

“There is no question that this race continues to tighten and that McCain is finding his message again,” said Pollster John Zogby. “It is after all about the economy and that is how McCain tightened it up the last time. I have said over and over again, when he focuses on extraneous issues, he screws up. In today's single day of polling, it was 49% to 46% in favor of Obama. McCain has moved his own numbers each of the three days and Obama has gone down from 54% to 50% to 49%. I have alluded before to this strange, magnetic pull that brings Obama down to 48% or 49%, a danger zone for him. McCain's gains are among white voters, where he now leads by 12 points, and with men, where he again has a healthy lead. There is still a lot of campaign to go. A lot of campaign to go.

Source ***

My read on Zogby's frank observations:

It appears that the Caucasian vote may indeed save McCain's bacon at the finish line. White guilt may have driven many of us to root for Obama all the way to just before the finish line. At which time we, assuming we have a good non-race based reason (i.e. he is a damned Marxist) we go with the safe bet. Better the devil that we know ....

Now, if I am a DNC commandant salivating at the prospect of a Democrat controlled White House and Congress, with Stevens finally ready to die or retire and a few other High Court vacancies likely in the next four years, what do I do???

Panic???

Or take down the lame horse and put in a fresh one.

Like this post suggests: http://bjbrownsblog.blogspot.com/2008/09/they-shoot-horses-dont-they.html

Stay tuned, this horse race is getting more interesting by the hour!

A constitutional question that no one can ask???

Evidently no one has standing to challenge Juan Valdez or Mikhail Gorbachev if either or both want to run for the President of the United States .... (Best run as a Democrat so you can count on the media covering your naked, foreign, braying ass, er, I mean donkey.)

Judge tosses lawsuit challenging Obama citizenship

Email this Story

Oct 25, 3:37 PM (ET)

PHILADELPHIA (AP) - A federal judge has dismissed a lawsuit challenging Barack Obama's qualifications to be president.

U.S. District Judge R. Barclay Surrick on Friday night rejected the suit by attorney Philip J. Berg, who alleged that Obama was not a U.S. citizen and therefore ineligible for the presidency. Berg claimed that Obama is either a citizen of his father's native Kenya or became a citizen of Indonesia after he moved there as a boy.

Obama was born in Hawaii to an American mother and a Kenyan father. His parents divorced and his mother married an Indonesian man.

Internet-fueled conspiracy theories question whether Obama is a "natural-born citizen" as required by the Constitution for a presidential candidate and whether he lost his citizenship while living abroad.

Surrick ruled that Berg lacked standing to bring the case, saying any harm from an allegedly ineligible candidate was "too vague and its effects too attenuated to confer standing on any and all voters."

Oh, sorry, but I was wrong about the grandma who is singing like a bird. It is Obama's African toot, not his Hawaiian toot. The Ice Berg claims he will release the tape after it is translated. Looks like having it before the judge ruled against him on standing may have proved helpful?

Want to read some legal analysis on the order dismissing the Ice Berg's suit? Click right here.

Here is Ice Berg's notice that he will appeal this immediately. Such an appeal can be heard on an expedited basis. I once filed such an appeal for Dick Gephardt's opponent, William Federer. The appeal was filed and ruled upon (we won) within a week. The fed courts can move quickly when the circumstances demand it.

(Rabbit trail: Here is my expedited victory before the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals in a federal election context.)

OH, even if this line of inquiry is now dead, or at least dead for the next week, then that still leaves many left unanswered . . . click here
